Honda Confirms 10 New Cars By 2030, 7 SUVs in Pipeline

Honda Motor Company has announced an ambitious product roadmap, revealing plans to introduce 10 new cars by 2030, with seven of them being SUVs. Both hybrid and fully electric cars will be offered to align with the brand’s carbon neutrality goal.

10 New Honda Cars by 2030: Roadmap to Regain Market Share

  • Honda will introduce both global models and India-specific offerings, tailored to meet the preferences and demands of local buyers.
  • Honda’s management acknowledged that this aggressive push is driven by rapid market transitions and the rising dominance of Chinese automakers in global markets. Moving ahead, the U.S., Japan, and India will serve as the brand’s top three strategic priorities, reflecting Honda’s renewed global focus with India at its core.
  • EVs and strong hybrids will be a key pillar of its strategy moving forward.
  • Recently revealed at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, the Honda 0 Alpha and 0 Series SUVs will be the key highlights of this plan, which are set to debut in India in 2027. These EVs will share several components with the Honda Elevate. However, their architecture will be completely different and will feature a software-centric platform and modern design language to meet global standards.
  • The 0 Series SUV will be manufactured in India and exported to Japan and other Asian markets, marking a major step in Honda’s effort to position India as a global manufacturing and design hub.
  • The battery strategy will be region-based — with CATL technology from China, battery production in Indonesia, and final battery fitting done locally — allowing cost efficiency and smoother logistics.
  • Honda is also exploring a potential partnership with its two-wheeler division to strengthen its EV ecosystem.
