Honda CB300F – Design, Underpinnings and Features
In terms of design, the CB300F looks like a bigger version of the Honda Hornet 2.0. It has edgy body panels and an extended fuel tank to give it more of a sporty look. Its all-LED headlamp will remind you of the Honda CB500F.
The bike also gets a type-C USB charging port, engine starts/stop switch, split seat and a full LCD instrument cluster that displays nearly all riding-related states and info such as gear position indication, real-time & average mileage, distance-to-empty readouts, battery voltage, fuel level, time, and speed. It also features Honda’s smartphone voice control system on the Deluxe Pro variant that allows you to connect your smartphone with the bike. Using this tech, you can make calls, receive messages, listen to music, navigate, and check the weather on the go. It can be performed by handle-mounted switches backed by voice prompts.
Speaking of the underpinnings, the CB300F gets a premium golden upside-down (USD) fork up front and a 5-step adjustable monoshock setup at the rear, suspended on 17-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in MRF Revz FC1 110/150 section tyres. Anchoring this new streetfighter are disc brake setup at both ends (276mm front and 220mm rear), assisted by dual-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS). The bike has a curb weight of 153kg, a quite accessible seat height of 789mm, and a ground clearance of 177mm.
