Honda ADV160 Revealed For India; E85 Compliant Maxi Scooter

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has introduced ten new products for the Indian market, with the ADV 160, Rebel 300 and QC3 electric scooter being the main highlights. In this thread, we are covering the ADV 160, while the other models will be featured in separate stories.

  • Already sold internationally, the all-new Honda ADV160 is an adventure-styled maxi scooter, powered by a 157cc, water-cooled engine. While Honda is yet to reveal the engine specifications, it is expected to produce 16PS of max power at 8500 rpm and 14.7Nm of peak torque at 6500 rpm. Its Indonesian-spec trim claims 45 km/l.
  • What’s more interesting is that the adventure-styled maxi scooter is E85 compliant, meaning it can run on fuel blended with 85% ethanol.
  • Based on the double cradle diamond frame, its Indonesian-spec trim is 2,205mm long, 810mm wide and 1,090mm tall, with a wheelbase of 1490mm. It has a ground clearance of 125mm, a seat height of 690mm, and a generous underseat storage of 27 litres.
  • It rides on 14-inch front and 13-inch rear alloy wheels, shod with 110/80 front and 130/70 rear section tubeless tyres.
  • When it comes to features, the ADV 160 comes equipped with amenities like LED headlamps, LED tail lights, a 5-inch TFT cluster with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity support, a USB charging port, dual-purpose tyres, Honda Selectable Torque Control, and single-channel ABS.
  • In the Indian market, the Honda ADV160 will take on the likes of the Yamaha Aerox 155 (Rs 1.44 lakh).
