Honda Activa e: Variants Explained

Honda 2-wheelers India has recently unveiled the electric version of Activa called the Activa e:, slated to be launched in January 2025. The upcoming scooter will be offered in two variants: Standard (Activa e:) and Activa e: RoadSync Duo. Let’s explore what each variant brings to the table: –

Honda Activa e: Standard Variant

Honda Active e: RoadSync Duo


Powertrain, Underpinning and Dimensions

Powering the new Honda Activa e: is a 6kW PMSM motor which produces a peak torque of 22Nm, enabling the EV to hit the 0 to 60 kmph mark in 7.3 seconds before attaining a top speed of 80 kmph. It draws its charge from two 1.5kWh swappable batteries which claim a range of 102 kilometres on full charge.

Speaking of the underpinnings, the Activa e: is based on an underbone type chassis, suspended on a telescopic fork up front and a 3-step hydraulic absorber at the rear. For anchoring, it gets a 160mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum.

Bookings, Deliveries and Competitors

Honda will commence bookings for the Activa e: in January 2025, while its deliveries will start from February in Bengaluru, followed by Mumbai and New Delhi by April 2025. Once launched, the Active e: will face competition from the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Vida V1 and the recently launched Ola S1 Z.
