Weeks after updating the Xtreme 125R, Hero has now updated the Xtreme 160R 4V by introducing a new Combat Edition that comes with lots of new features and cosmetic enhancements over the standard model. However, its price is yet to be revealed.
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition – What’s New?
- Similar to the Karizma XMR and Xoom 110 Combat Editions, this new special edition of the Xtreme 160R also gets a new grey & yellow paint scheme.
- Additionally, it receives new ride-by-wire technology, which enables convenience features like cruise control and three riding modes: Rain, Road, and Sport.
- The new sporty commuter also gets a new coloured LCD instrument cluster and LED headlamp borrowed from the Xtreme 250R, featuring a projector lamp with H-shaped LED DRL.
- The new cluster gets the speedometer, odometer, real-time mileage, distance-to-empty, gear position indicator, telltale lights, along with smartphone connectivity support for turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts. It also boasts a feature called “DRAG RACE TIMER”, which records the 0 to 60 kmph and quarter-mile acceleration timings.

Mechanically Unchanged
The upcoming Xtreme 160R Combat Edition will remain mechanically unchanged. The bike continues to be powered by the same 163.2cc, air-oil cooled engine, which makes 16.9PS of max power and 14.6Nm of peak torque. Suspension duties are handled by the KYB inverted fork and monoshock suspension setup. The braking setup consists of a 276mm front and 220mm rear disc brake setup with dual-channel ABS.
Expected Price
Hero is expected to price the new Combact Edition at a premium of Rs 12,000 over the outgoing model, which costs Rs 1,29,615 (ex-showroom).
