Hero XPulse 200 4V Spied Testing; Likely To Be More Powerful Than Before

The Hero XPluse 200 is an extremely capable off-roader that comes with a decent set of features. However, its highway performance is its only major weakness. But now it seems like the brand has addressed the issue and will soon introduce a more powerful version of the XPulse that will come with a 4-valve engine configuration instead of the ongoing 2-valve setup.

Currently, the XPulse 200 is powered by a 199.6cc single-cylinder oil-cooled 2-valve motor that kicks out 18.08PS and 16.45Nm. The introduction of a 4-valve setup will not only enhance the breathability of the engine but will also improve its fuel efficiency and refinement.

In addition, the latest spy shots also reveal that the upgraded XPulse will come with a new blue color paint scheme along with updated graphics on the fuel tank and silver-colored engine casing. Besides all these additions, the bike is expected to remain unchanged. It will continue to feature an LED lighting system, wired spoke wheels (21-inch front & 18-inch rear), a long-travel gaitered front fork, adjustable rear monoshock, and a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity.

Considering all the tweaks, we expect the 2021 Hero XPulse 200 to command a decent premium over the ongoing model, which retails from Rs 1,20,800 to Rs 1,23,150 (ex-showroom Delhi). While the brand is yet to share its launch timeline, it is likely to be launched around the festive season.
