Hero MotoCorp Records 5.11 Lakh Retail Sales in April 2025

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, kicked off FY2025- 26 with strong retail momentum, recording 5.11 lakh VAHAN registrations in April 2025 for its internal combustion engine (ICE) models.

Despite a temporary production halt during the month, the company managed to dispatch 305,406 units, reflecting healthy demand and market resilience. As part of its operational strategy, Hero temporarily paused production from April 17–19 at its facilities in Dharuhera, Gurugram, Haridwar, and Neemrana to realign its supply chain and undertake scheduled maintenance. Normalised operations are expected to resume in May.

While ICE two-wheelers remained the backbone of sales, Hero’s electric mobility arm, VIDA, continued its growth streak. The VIDA V2 electric scooter registered 7,116 dispatches in April, with 6,123 VAHAN registrations, marking a strong year-on-year jump and reinforcing Hero’s growing footprint in the EV segment.

Though dispatch numbers were down year-on-year due to inventory alignment, retail performance remained strong, with Hero maintaining a steady increase in market share through 2025. Exports stood at 16,882 units, while domestic dispatches accounted for 288,524 units.

In a move to expand its international presence, Hero recently launched four new models — Xoom 110, Hunk 160R 4V, Xtreme 125R, and HF Deluxe — in Sri Lanka, in collaboration with Abans Auto. Backed by a network of over 500 touchpoints expected by May, this marks a major step in Hero’s global push.

On the branding front, Hero announced a high-profile partnership with international golfers Akshay Bhatia and Sahith Theegala as global brand ambassadors. The athletes will represent the Hero brand on the global stage, aligning with its vision of performance, perseverance, and global excellence.
