Hero Destini 125 XTEC – What’s New?
As the name suggests, the XTEC variant of the Destini 125 comes with Bluetooth-based connectivity features with its new semi-digital instrument console. By pairing a smartphone to the scooter, one can get call and SMS alerts. But surprisingly, it misses out on turn-by-turn navigation assist.
Apart from the Bluetooth connectivity, Hero has also equipped the XTEC variant with a new LED headlamp, a USB charger, and a pillion backrest. It also receives an exclusive Nexus Blue paint scheme, along with generous use of chrome throughout the scooter.

Mechanically, the scooter remains unchanged. That said, the Destini 125 XTEC gets the same 124.6cc single-cylinder engine with i3S technology that makes out 9.1PS at 7000rpm and 10.4Nm at 5500rpm. Even the suspension and braking system have been carried over from the standard variant. It would have been better if Hero had provided front disc brakes on the scooter.
