Ford Endeavour: Does the price hike attract any changes?

Unfortunately not, Ford hasn't made any mechanical or features changes in the SUV. It continues to be powered by the same 2.0-litre EcoBlue turbocharged diesel engine that was introduced during the BS6 update in February 2020. This new diesel motor churn puts out 170PS of max power and 420Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox, which is first in the segment. It doesn't offer manual transmission like its core rival Toyota Fortuner.

In terms of features, this full-sized offering from Ford offers an 8-inch SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Ford Pass Connected tech to remotely control various functions like engine start/stop, AC control, geo-fencing, live tracking and many more. Apart from this, other notable features include dual-zone climate control, LED headlamps, semi-autonomous parallel park assist, active noise cancellation, electrically foldable 3rd-row seats, power tailgate, auto-dimming IRVM, tire pressure monitoring system, a panoramic sunroof and many more.

As far as the safety features are concerned, it includes up to seven airbags, hill launch assist, hill descent control, front and rear parking sensors, traction control, ESP with Roll-over Stability, anti-theft alarm, etc.

Rivals & Price Comarison

In full-sized SUV segment, the Ford Endeavour lock horns with Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4and Isuzu MU-X. However, Isuzu hasn't yet upgraded the MU-X to compliant with the BS6 emission norms.

After this price hike, the Ford Endeavour still undercuts the segment leader- Toyota Fortuner by Rs 2.4 Lakhs, compared to its top TRD edition variant, which is the latest iteration in its lineup. While the Mahindra Alturas G4 (Rs 28.69 lakh to Rs 31.69 lakh) is significantly underpriced compared to both the cars.
