Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro BS6 Launch Scheduled On September 22

Ducati has announced the launch date of Scrambler 1100 Pro BS6 for the Indian market. The bike will go on sale on 22 September 2020.  Following the Panigale V2, this will be the second BS6 offering from the Italian manufacturer in India. It is expected to be offered in two variants: 1100 Pro and the 1100 Sport Pro.

How are the two variants different from each other?

The main difference between both variants lies in its riding style. For instance, the Sport Pro variant offers cafe racer-styled lower handlebars with bar-end mirrors and Ohlins suspension. On the other hand, the Pro model features wide handlebars and Marzocchi fully-adjustable USD fork at the front and a rebound-adjustable Kayaba monoshock at the rear. Further, the difference also appears in the form of engine output about which we have talked in the next section.

Ducati Scrambler 1100 BS6: Engine

Ducati Scrambler 1100 BS6 range will feature the same 1,079cc air-cooled L-twin engine. In the BS4 era, this engine used to come with two different power states 84.7PS/90.5Nm for 1100 Pro variant and 85.65PS/88Nm for Sport Pro trim. The engine will continue to get the 6-speed transmission with a hydraulically actuated slip-and-assist clutch. The fresh Scrambler Pro range will also feature a revised exhaust system to meet the new and stricter emission norms.
