Deliveries Of Mahindra XUV700 Diesel Are Now Underway

The deliveries of Mahindra XUV700 diesel variants were supposed to start from the last week of November, but the carmaker has begun its deliveries from November 11 as Mahindra has already manufactured a few diesel trims ahead of the schedule. On the other hand, the deliveries of petrol variants were begun in October itself.

Mahindra offers the XUV700 in four broad trims: MX, AX3, AX5, and AX7. The top-spec AX7 variant can be spiced up with an optional Luxury Pack, which includes features like a Sony 3D surround sound system, electronic parking brake, blind-spot monitoring, a wireless phone charger, and a 360-degree camera. Other creature comforts of the SUV comprises twin 10.25-inch screens for the touchscreen infotainment and digital instrument cluster, connected car technology, Alexa smart voice assistant, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, powered driver’s seat with memory function, up to 7 airbags, and a host of level-2 ADAS (advanced driving assistance system) features such as adaptive cruise control, pilot assist, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and high-beam assist.

Powering the XUV700 are two engines: a 200PS 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 185PS 2.2-litre diesel engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The top-spec diesel-automatic variant also gets an optional AWD (all-wheel-drive) system.

The Mahindra XUV700 currently retails from Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 22.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is expected to receive a third price hike, probably in January 2022. In the mid-size SUV segment, it goes up against the Hyundai Creta & Alcazar, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier & Safari, MG Astor, MG Hector & Hector Plus, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
