Carmakers Extending Warranty And Service Packages Validity Due To COVID-19 Restrictions

With the rising numbers of COVID19 cases, many states and UTs have once again imposed lockdown or strict curfew to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease. In this scenario, showrooms & service centers are closed in many areas across the country, which is resulting in a drop in sales figures. Also, the customers are concerned about the validity of the warranty and service packages of their vehicles. So, to ensure utmost customer satisfaction in these challenging periods, many carmakers have come forward to provide an extension of their primary/extended warranty & free/paid service packages. 

Yesterday, we have informed you about the extension announcement made by Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. Now, several other carmakers have also taken a similar step. Recently, Mahindra, MG, and Tata Motors have announced to forward the deadlines of the warranty & services packages expiring between April-May 2021 to 31st July 2021. 

Hyundai has also announced a two-month extension of the extended warranty for consumers in cities under lockdown. Kia India has also adjunct the same for scheduled services during this period. Besides, many automakers have also suspended their production operation due to the second wave of the COVID-19 outbreak.
