Audi Q3, the compact German luxury SUV is all set to make comeback in India soon. While its launch date is yet to be revealed, you can book one for a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. The carmaker is also offering a complimentary 3+2 years extended warranty and a comprehensive 3-year/50,000km service package to the first 500 buyers.
Audi will offer the new generation Q3 in two variants: Premium Plus and Technology. It will pack host of premium features as standard fitment. These include ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, cruise control, a digital driver’s display, 6 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and Parking Aid Plus with a reversing camera. The top-spec Technology variant, on the other hand, will also get a 10-speaker Audi sound system, a gesture-controlled tailgate, Virtual Cockpit Plus driver’s display, wireless smartphone charger and 30 different colours for ambient lighting system. Unfortunately, the Indian-spec Audi Q3 won’t get driver assistance active safety features.

At the heart of the Audi Q3 will be a 190PS/320Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) and Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD) system. That is the same powertrain that also powers the Q2 SUV and the A4 sedan. It is claimed to do the 100kmph sprint in 7.3 seconds.
Expect Audi to price the new Q3 from around Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom), putting it against the likes of BMW X1 (Rs 41.50 – 44.50 lakh), Mercedes-Benz GLA (Rs 44.90 – 48.90 lakh), and Volvo XC40 (Rs 44.50 lakh).
