Bookings Open For 2022 BMW G 310 R And G 310 GS

BMW Motorrad India has started accepting bookings for the updated G 310 R and G 310 GS. They are expected to be launched soon. Both the updated Bavarians were unveiled in July 2021. While they received an extensive set of updates last year, this time they only get a fresh lick of paint.

For starters, both the G 310 R and GS get a new Cosmic Black 2 color that replaces the older Cosmic Black shade. The Cosmic Black 2 basically supersedes the white-colored side panels and headlight cowls of the ongoing Cosmic Black shade. Besides, the 310 roadster also gets a new Kyanite Blue Metallic color with red alloys, replacing the existing Polar White paint scheme. On the other hand, the G 310 GS comes with a new Triple Black hue, substituting the ‘40 Years GS Edition’.

No other changes have been made to any of these Bavarians. They will continue to be powered by the reverse-inclined 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine (34PS/28Nm), mated to a 6-speed transmission with via slipper clutch.

The notable features of both motorcycles include an all-LED headlamp with LED DRLs, low rpm assist function to crawl through the traffic, ride-by-wire (for better fueling and crisper throttle response), slip-and-assist clutch (for lighter clutch action), adjustable brake & clutch levers, and GTT (Glide Through Traffic), etc.

As far as the suspension & braking systems are concerned, both G 310 R and G 310 GS come equipped with USD forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. However, their suspension travel differs from each other. A 300mm front disc and 240mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS bring the bikes to halt.

Currently, the BMW G 310 R is priced at Rs 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the G 310 GS adventure will set you back for Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom). Expect their updated models to carry a slight premium over their current price range.
