Bookings Open For 2021 Aprilia SR 160

Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Aprilia has started accepting pre-launch bookings for the 2021 SR 160 scooter in the Indian market. Interested customers can make their booking online. It is likely to be launched in the coming days.

2021 Aprilia SR 160 – What's New?

The updated Aprilia SR 160 will come with a bunch of cosmetic changes along with the addition of a few new features. For starters, it will get a more aggressive front profile with refreshed plastic panels and a new LED headlamp, replacing the aging halogen unit. The headlamp will be flanked by new LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs). It is also supposed to get a new Bluetooth-equipped fully-digital instrument cluster, wider split seats along with a bigger single-piece pillion grab rail. Aprilia could also offer new colour options with the updated scooter.

We don't expect any changes neither on underpinnings nor on the mechanical front. Having said that, it will continue with its existing setup and the ongoing BS6-compliant 160.03cc engine developing 11PS and 11.6Nm.

Expect the new Aprilia to command a significant price premium over the ongoing model which retails for Rs 1.06 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rekindle its competition with the more powerful and feature-rich Yamaha Aerox 155
