BMW has expanded its India lineup with the comeback of the X4 SUV in an all-new avatar. It will be offered in a sole M40i Performance iteration, priced at Rs 96.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
The BMW X4 M40i doesn’t have any direct rival in the country.
BMW X4 M40i – Exterior
Justifying the hefty price tag of the all-new X4 M40i trim are its sports-oriented elements that will undoubtedly amuse automotive fanatics. Having said that, the SUV comes equipped with an M Aerodynamic package, comprising elements like a blacked-out grille, gloss black treatment for skid plates & side mirrors, and 20-inch Jet black M light sportier alloy wheels shod with 245/45 R20 front and 275/40 R20 rear-section tyres, feeding it with an assertive look.
It also features the M Sport brakes with red-painted brake callipers, signature twin L-shaped LED DRLs within the dark tinted sleeker active LED headlamps, horizontal LED taillights, and dual exhaust tips with black-chrome finish for added appeal.
BMW offers the X4 M40i in two metallic body shades: Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire.

The interior of the X4 M40i looks grand and cultivated, thanks to the M Sport carbon fibre trims, M leather seatbelts and M Sport upholstery (Vernasca Black or Tacora Red). Features on board the 2023 X4 M40i comprise: –

BMW X4 M40i – Mechanicals
At the core of the 2023 X4 M40i lies a 3-litre, twin-turbocharged, 6-cylinder petrol mill paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, churning out a max power output of 360PS and a peak twist of 500Nm. The power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission that enables this 2-ton weighted machine to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in merely 4.9 seconds.
To further enrich your overall driving experience, the Bavarian automaker has also offered this SUV coupe with M adaptive suspensions and M Sport differential.
