BMW X3 M40i Launched In India At Rs 86.50 Lakh

Following the launch of the xDrive20d xLine diesel variant for the X3 in March this year, BMW now has launched its M40i variant in India at Rs 86.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

Here’s all you need to know about this new performance-oriented version of the BMW X3 SUV.

What Powers The BMW X3 M40i?

  • Underneath the bonnet of the BMW X3 M40i lies a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine, churning out an impressive power output of 365PS and 500Nm of peak twist.
  • It comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission propelling all four wheels of the SUV via BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system, allowing it to do the 0 to 100 kmph run in just 4.1 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph.
  • As per the carmaker, this SUV is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 10.49 kmpl.

Exterior Design

  • Being a sportier version of the X3, this bimmer gets the BMW’s M Sport body kit package as standard which includes M-specific kidney grilles with slats finished in black, aggressively designed bumpers with larger vents, M-specific side mirrors and dual exhausts as well as 20-inch M light dual-tone alloy wheels.
  • The X3 M40i also features black-finished window surrounds and roof rails, as well as red-painted brake callipers.
  • BMW offers this model in Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire colours.

Interior and Features

  • Inside, the BMW X3 M40i flaunts an all-black treatment, with an M-Specific steering wheel gets and M-specific seat belts.
  • When it comes to features, this German sports utility vehicle comes loaded up to the brim. The key highlights include: –

Competitors

The X3 M40i has no direct challenger in the Indian market. However, the SUV’s standard version faces competition from the Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60.
