BMW Motorrad launched the M 1000 XR in India. Featuring the M Competition Package, this litre-class touring bike comes at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 45 lakh. Here’s what this bike has on offer: –
- Aggressive semi-fairing design with dual LED headlamps and M winglets generating 12 kg of downforce at 220 km/h.
- M Competition package includes M Carbon wheels, carbon rear wheel cover, carbon side panels, adjustable M footrests, ignition/steering lock in carbon, and a lap timer, reducing overall weight by 3 kg.
- Powered by a modified 999cc inline 4-cylinder engine from the S 1000 RR superbike, delivering 201 BHP @ 12,750 rpm and 113 Nm @ 11,000 rpm, mated with a 6-speed gearbox and bi-directional quick-shifter.
- Accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 278 km/h.

- Features a fully adjustable 45 mm upside-down fork at the front and mono-shock at the rear for suspension, twin 320 mm discs at the front and a single 265 mm disc at the rear for braking.
- Equipped with five riding modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, and Race Pro), pit lane limiter, launch control, dynamic traction control, wheelie control, ABS, slide control, dynamic brake control, shift assistant pro, automatic hill start control, and adaptive headlights.
- Comes with a TFT screen, USB charging port, heated grips, tyre pressure monitoring system, and an M battery.
