Bajaj Pulsar N250SS – What’s New?
- To start with, the new N250SS variant utilises an updated version of the 249cc, air-oil-cooled engine, which now features a 4-valve head. This has helped boost its power outputs to 25hp and 22Nm, compared to the 24.5PS and 21.5Nm produced by the standard N250 variant.
- It also receives a new 6-speed transmission instead of a 5-speed unit, which should offer a more relaxed and smoother power delivery across the rev range.
- Along with a new gearbox, the N250SS also benefits from a quickshifter that allows riders to shift gears without using the clutch or closing the throttle, resulting in quicker, smoother gear changes with minimal interruption in power delivery. It also makes riding more convenient, especially during spirited riding and rapid acceleration.
- Another significant change compared to the lower variants comes in the form of an electronic throttle body for more precise throttle control. This also unlocks multiple riding modes: Â Rain, Road, Sport and Off-Road.

- Lastly, the Pulsar N250SS also gets adjustable levers, a USB Type-C port, panic brake alert, a hazard switch, and most importantly, a new 5-inch TFT cluster that replaces the earlier LCD unit. This new rider’s display also receives Google Maps mirroring, making it easier to follow routes and reduce distraction while riding.
