Honda is all set to unveil the production-spec 0 Alpha electric SUV on December 2, 2026, marking the brand’s debut in India’s all-electric passenger vehicle segment. For those unaware, it was first showcased in concept avatar in October 2025.
Honda 0 Alpha – What Do We Know So Far?
The Honda 0 Alpha will be the brand’s first model in India from its upcoming 0 Series. It will be locally manufactured at the brand’s Tapukara-based production facility in Rajasthan for both domestic and select global markets, including Japan.
Going by the testing mules, the production-spec version of the 0 Alpha will retain the quirky design cues of the concept model, featuring an upright stance and boxy shape, with a unique rear design housing a rectangular windshield and U-shaped LED taillamps, giving it a distinct identity from conventional SUVs.

Following Honda’s latest “Thin, Light and Wise” design language, this upcoming EV will be based on a dedicated EV platform (skateboard) with a wheelbase ranging between 2700-2800mm for maximum cabin space.
While the exact technical specifications of the SUV are scarce at the moment, Honda has already confirmed that it will be offered with two LFP battery pack options (likely to be 65kWh-75kWh units), mated to a single, front-axle-mounted motor. Expect it to deliver a real-world range of around 400-450 km on a single charge.

Regarding features, we know that the 0 Alpha will be equipped with a large freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, taking the centre of the dashboard. It will also feature a floating digital instrument cluster.
Expect it to also get amenities like flush-fitting smart door handles, powered front seats with a ventilation function, connected car technology, a flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters, multiple airbags, hill assist, multi-mode regenerative braking and a level-2 ADAS suite.

While it is too early to speculate, we expect Honda to price the 0 Alpha very competitively, placing it against the Maruti Suzuki eVitara, Toyota eBella, Mahindra BE6, Tata Sierra EV, MG Windsor EV, and Hyundai Creta Electric.
