Bajaj Pulsar N160 – All You Need To Know About

Design: – Compared to the NS160, the new Bajaj Pulsar N160 gets a more chiseled look, feautring a similar headlamp cowl as the Pulsar N250 with a bi-functional projector headlamp and LED daytime running lamps. Though the side indicators are still bulb-type, the taillight has an LED unit.

Electronic: Part of the new Pulsar N160 features list is a USB mobile charging port, dual-channel Antilock Braking System, a digital instrument cluster with a classic analog tachometer, Distance-To-Empty readout, and gear indicator.

Underpinnings: – The new Pulsar N160 underpins the same platform as the Pulsar N250 and F250. It also sports the same telescopic fork upfront (31mm for the single-channel ABS and 37mm for the dual-channel ABS trim) coupled with a Nitrox monoshock at the rear. For braking, the single-channel ABS version gets 280mm front and 230mm rear discs, while the dual-channel ABS version gains a 20mm larger disc at the front.

The new Streetfighter rides on 17-inch alloys and gets comparatively flatter tires from the NS160, with a 100-section tire at the front and a 130-section tire at the rear.

Engine: – Powering the Pulsar N160 is a new 164.8cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, oil-cooled engine that belts out 16PS and 14.65Nm, which is 1.2PS less powerful but 0.05Nm torquier than the NS160’s 160.3cc oil-cooled engine. Bajaj also claims that the torque kicks in much earlier, which should be ideal for cutting through city traffic.

Color Options: – Bajaj offers the Pulsar N160 single-channel ABS trim in three colors: Techno Grey, Racing Red, and Caribbean Blue. On the other hand, its dual-channel ABS variant comes in a sole Brooklyn Black paint scheme.

Competitors: – The new Pulsar N160 locks horns with the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Hero Xtreme 160R, Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ-S Fi V3.0, and the Honda X-Blade.
