Bajaj Auto has commenced deliveries of the Freedom 125 CNG motorcycle. Its bookings are open pan-India; however, it is currently only available for sale in Mumbai, Pune and select cities in Gujarat, in its top-spec Disc LED variant. Currently, it is commanding a waiting period of up to 3 months.
For those unaware, the Bajaj CNG bike is available in three variants – Drum, Drum LED and Disc LED, priced at Rs 95,000, Rs 1.05 lakh and Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
Powering the Bajaj Freedom is a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that belts out 9.5PS at 8,000 rpm and 9.7Nm at 5,000 rpm. It features a 2kg CNG tank, positioned horizontally under the seat and an auxiliary petrol tank of 2 litres. It offers a claimed mileage of 102 km per kg on CNG and 65 kmpl on petrol, offering a combined range of roughly 330 kilometres.

When it comes to features, the Freedom 125 packs an LED headlamp with DRLs, alloy wheels, engine crash guard, segment’s largest single-piece seat, a negatively-lit LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth-based smartphone connectivity support, call receiving switch, call/SMS alert, gear position indicator, real-time mileage indicator, and Combined Braking System (CBS).
