Bajaj CT100 Gets A New KS Variant, Priced At Rs 46,432

In an attempt to make the CT100 commuter motorcycle a more attractive option for buyers, Bajaj has launched its new 'KS' variant, which will eventually replace the existing KS Alloy trim in its line-up. It is priced at Rs 46,432 (ex-showroom Delhi). At this price position, it is Rs 1,542 more expensive than the discontinued trim, and for this premium, it gets a host of extra features to improve the overall experience.

For a beginner, it gets three new paint schemes: Gloss Ebony Black, Matte Olive Green, and Gloss Flame Red. Apart from the new colors, Bajaj has also offered a thicker seat and more generous pillion grab handles. It also gets rubber tank pads for better thigh support and gaiters on the front forks.

Bajaj has also offered a fuel gauge, which was earlier reserved for the ES (electric start) trim only. Other notable addons include clear-lens indicators, larger side mirrors, braced handlebar, bash plate, engine guard and spring-in-spring rear suspension, etc.

Besides these afresh added attributes, the new CT100 KS model remains the same as the earlier KS trim. It is powered by the same 102cc single-cylinder air-cooled, e-carb (electronic carburetor) engine which produces 7.9PS of maximum power at 7500rpm and 8.34Nm of peak torque at 5500rpm. The engine is paired to a 4-speed gearbox.

As far as the underpinnings are concerned, the bike uses the tubular single down chassis, suspended on a telescopic front fork and twin SNS (Spring in Spring) shock absorber at the rear. The braking duties rely on the front 130mm and rear 110mm drum brakes with CBS as standard. In the entry-level commuter segment, the Bajaj CT 100 fights against the Hero Splendor Plus
