Ather Rizta S Now Available With 3.7 kWh Battery

Ather Energy has expanded the variant lineup of its Rizta electric scooter by introducing the 3.7 kWh battery pack option with the S variant. Earlier, the Rizta S trim was limited to just a 2.9 kWh unit.

Ather has priced the Rizta S 3.7 kWh variant at Rs 1.37 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Bookings are open both online and offline, with deliveries expected to begin this month.

The new Ather Rizta S 3.7 kWh variant is targeted at buyers who require more range than the S 2.9 kWh trim but don’t need all the premium features of the Z variant, such as the touchscreen TFT display, auto brightness adjustment, Google Maps navigation support, pillion backrest, magic twist (reverse throttle for regen), skid control, document storage, WhatsApp preview on screen, auto-reply to calls, live location sharing, and inter-city trip planner. Instead, the S variant offers with practical essentials like a 7-inch non-touchscreen DeepView LCD with turn-by-turn navigation assist, call & music control, LED headlamp with LED position lamp, LED indicators, side stand motor cut off, two riding modes (Smart Eco 7 Zip) auto-indicator cut off, auto hold, emergency stop signal, fall safe, and 34-litre of huge underseat storage.

Like other Ather scooters, this new variant also gets the brand’s optional “Eight70” warranty.

Performance and Range

The 2.9kWh battery variant claims an IDC range of 123km and a TrueRange of 105km, whereas the 3.7kWh battery variant offers 160km of claimed range and 125km of true range.

Irrespective of battery size, both variants get the same 4.3 kW PMSM motor that offers a peak torque of 22Nm and a top speed of 80 kmph.
