Ather Energy Unveils ‘Eight70 Warranty’ for EV Scooters

After introducing a comprehensive service plan for its customers, Ather Energy has now introduced the “Eight70 Warranty” for the battery packs of its 450 series and Rizta scooters, addressing customer concerns about battery health and longevity. This warranty coverage has been developed in partnership with Reliance General Insurance, providing additional peace of mind to EV buyers.

Key Benefits of Ather Eight70 Warranty Coverage

  • Coverage for up to 8 years or 80,000 km (whichever comes first)
  • 70% battery health assurance
  • Full coverage against manufacturing defects and failures
  • No upper limit on claim amounts
  • No claim rejection due to deep discharge of battery cells when the scooter is left uncharged or in an idle state over an extended period

This warranty package is available as a 3-year add-on to the standard 5-year battery warranty offered with the Pro-Pack. Customers who have opted for the Pro-Pack can buy the Eight70 Warranty package at Rs 4,999 for their 450 series and Rizta scooters.
