All Cars Launches In July 2020

The automobile manufacturing sector is emphasising on getting going with all their paused operations. Of all the things to look forward to, the automobile launches certainly sound interesting. Remember, a number of car launches were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This article lists all the car launches that are scheduled in the month of July, including the ones that were supposed to take place earlier.

1. Honda WR-V

The Jazz-based compact crossover has received a mid-life update in the beginning of July month. The car has also received some design tweaks over the preceding WR-V. It is up against some of the best selling cars including Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300 and Tata Nexon.  The new Honda WR-V now costs Rs. 8.5-11 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

2. Honda Civic Diesel

Honda’s popular executive class sedan has been reintroduced with BS-6 compliant diesel engine at a starting price tag of Rs. 20.55 lakh. It is offered in two variants: VX and ZX. The fuel efficiency figures now stand at an impressive 23.9 kmpl (although low by 2.9 kmpl from BS-4 Civic) comes across as the stand-out highlight. It locks horns against the Hyundai Elantra, which is its only competitor with the diesel engine.

Upcoming launches In July 2020

1. MG Hector Plus

The three-row version of the Hector SUV is being eagerly awaited, purely due to the fact that it will certainly get added practicality along with all the goodness of the Hector SUV.  The MG Hector Plus will be offered in three variants and will feature a 6-seater configuration. It is all set to compete with Mahindra XUV500, Toyota Innova Crysta and Upcoming Tata Gravitas.

Like its 5-seater version, hector plus will also get three engine gearbox combinations (Diesel-Manual, Petrol-Automatic, Petrol Mild-Hybrid Manual).

2. Hyundai Tucson

This Mid-size SUV from the Korean automaker has not really enjoyed a flourishing run in India but with this upcoming mid-life update, Hyundai is hoping that things will turn in its favour. Though the update is primarily focused on the introduction of BS6 emission norms compliant petrol and diesel engines, it is also expected to get some cosmetic upgrades with new features. 2020 Hyundai Tucson will continue to rival the MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Skoda Karoq and Volkswagen T-Roc.

3. Honda City

Honda’s most successful car in India, the city sedan is getting a next-gen update. The new Honda City is now more spacious, looks significantly different and even is better equipped with techs like lane watch camera and in-car connectivity. Even the DOHC petrol engine is more powerful now and the diesel engine has got quieter.

The updated City will now pose a stronger competition against the other offerings in its segment including Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and Skoda Rapid.

4. Audi-RS7

The German Auto-maker’s 5-door coupe will get a generation update. The flagship offering from Audi boasts a 4.0L V-8 Turbo Petrol Engine that produces a whopping 600 PS of power and a torque output of 800 Nm. The giantly powerful petrol engine helps put out unbelievably superior acceleration figures of 0-100 kmph in an eye-blinking 3.6 seconds.

5. Hyundai Venue iMT

The Hyundai Venue offered with 1.0 L Turbo petrol engine will soon get the new clutch-less intelligent manual transmission. The iMT system will eliminate the need for a clutch pedal as it uses the clutch by wire system that comes mated to a regular six-speed manual gearbox.

The iMT technology gearbox will be offered with the 1.0L Turbo petrol engine that is offered with the S, SX and SX(O) variant. It is expected to be priced at a premium of Rs 25,000 above the conventional manual transmission engine option.
