2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Launched With New Design and Features

Four years since the launch of the 2nd-gen Brezza, Maruti Suzuki has finally given it a much-needed midlife facelift update, bringing some minor design changes, a new powertrain and a host of new features. It will continue to be offered in four variants: LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+, with prices starting from Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker is yet to share the full pricing of the SUV.

Bookings for the SUV are already underway, while deliveries are expected to commence in the coming days.

2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift – What’s New?

New Turbocharged Engine

The biggest update for the Maruti Brezza comes in the form of a new 1-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine borrowed from the Fronx, albeit in a higher state of tune. It is available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. With the introduction of this new engine, select variants of the Brezza are now eligible for the lower 18% GST bracket against 40% GST on 1.5-litre variants.

This new powertrain is offered alongside the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, with an optional factory-fit CNG kit that now features an underbody dual-cylinder setup.

Exterior

The facelift brings some minor styling tweaks for the SUV. To start with, the 2026 Brezza now gets a new sleeker grille with a gold finish, along with a reworked bumper with silver inserts and a triangular surround for fog lamps.

The side profile remains largely unchanged, featuring the same upright & boxy silhouette. The new element you see here is the newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels. Changes on the rear are limited to reworked bumpers and a chunkier skid plate.

Maruti has also revised the colour palette of the SUV by introducing two new shades: Vivacious Orange and Lustrous Beige, offered alongside the existing colour options, namely Pearl Arctic White, Sizzling Red, Bluish Black, Magma Grey, and Splendid Silver.

Interior and New Features

Similar to the exterior, the interior also follows the same approach, with subtle changes rather than transformative. Like the current model, it continues to feature an upright dashboard, a 3-spoke steering wheel, and a dual-tone black and brown cabin theme. However, small improvements come in the form of upgraded dashboard trim materials, a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a gloss black insert on the steering wheel, and a new climate control panel borrowed from the Maruti Victoris.

The other notable additions include: –

  • Ventilated front seats
  • 64-colour ambient lighting
  • Cooled glovebox
  • Sliding front centre armrest with storage
  • Winged headrests for rear seats
  • PM 2.5 filter with AQI display
  • Front parking sensors
  • Level 1 ADAS suite, comprising blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, emergency stop signal and safe exit warning

Amenities such as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, single-pane sunroof, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, single-pane sunroof, wireless phone charger, cruise control, a heads-up display (HUD), 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist (HHA), ISOFIX child seat anchorages, etc., have been retained from the outgoing model.

The Bharat NCAP has also recently announced a full 5-star safety rating for the new Brezza.

Competition Check

In the sub-4m SUV segment, the Brezza continues its rivalry against the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Skoda Kylaq, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
