Hyundai Makes Wireless Connectivity Easier for More Cars

In April this year, Hyundai introduced a wired-to-wireless adapter in the Alcazar SUV for wireless support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Now, the Korean carmaker has extended this feature to six more models, including the Grand i10 Nios, Exter, Verna, Aura, Venue, and the Venue N Line. Hyundai has priced it at Rs 4,999.

For those unaware, the top-spec variants of these Hyundai models do not offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto out of the box. This new adapter bridges that gap by enabling wireless smartphone connectivity — a much-demanded feature these days. Interestingly, the mid-spec trims, which feature an 8-inch infotainment unit, already support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.

Hyundai is expected to extend this adapter-based solution to other models in its lineup, including the Creta, Creta N Line, Creta EV, i20, i20 N Line, and Tucson, in the near future.

In a market where buyers are increasingly tech-conscious, Hyundai’s move comes as a timely response to user expectations, especially as rivals continue to enhance in-car connectivity and infotainment features. This initiative not only improves the overall driving experience but also highlights the brand’s commitment to addressing feedback from tech-savvy customers who value seamless smartphone integration. The adapter saves users from relying on aftermarket solutions while ensuring full compatibility and brand-backed support.
