New Skoda Kodiaq Variant Details Revealed; Launch On April 17

Skoda India is gearing up to launch the new-generation Kodiaq on April 17, 2025. However, ahead of its launch, the Czech automaker has revealed the variant lineup of the upcoming SUV. The refreshed three-row SUV will be offered in two trims – L&K (Laurin & Klement) and Sportline. A different cosmetic treatment sets apart these variants.

For those unaware, the L&K variant has been named after the founders of Skoda. Being a luxury-focused trim, it emphasises comfort and premium materials. On the other hand, the Sportline focuses on dynamic styling and sport-inspired interiors. Having said that, it gets black-out treatment for the grille, ORVMs, roofrails, and rear bumper. It also gets sportier designed alloy wheels.

2025 New Skoda Kodiaq interior

Inside, the Sportline trim gets sportier bucket seats. However, it misses out on the heated/ventilated seats as well as massage functions, which are available in the L&K trim.

The other notable features of the upcoming SUV include LED lighting system, three-zone climate control, powered front seats, panoramic sunroof, a premium Canton sound system, multi-color ambient lighting, two wireless chargers, a floating 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 13-inch free-floating infotainment system, nine airbags, electronics parking brakes with auto-hold, 360-degree camera and ADAS suite.

Powering the new Skoda Kodiaq will be the same 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 204 PS of maximum power and 320 Nm of peak torque. It will come mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Globally, the Kodiaq also gets a 150PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol with mild-hybrid tech and a 2-litre diesel engine option that comes in 150PS (FWD) and 193PS (AWC) tunes.

Skoda will locally assemble the Kodiaq in India. So expect it to be priced from around Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it against the Jeep Meridian, MG Gloster, and Toyota Fortuner.
