Mahindra Unveils Next-Gen India Design Studio in Mumbai

Mahindra has inaugurated its all-new Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS) in Mumbai, taking a significant step forward in strengthening its global design footprint. This new cutting edge facility, now double in the size of the original studio set up in 2025, is posied to be a hub for innovation and design excellence.

Originally established to cater to Mahindra’s Auto and Farm divisions, the expanded MIDS will now support a wider portfolio, including Last Mile Mobility (LMM). The upgraded studio is equipped with advanced infrastructure, next-gen design tools and international best practices to keep pace with Mahindra’s rapid growth and evolving product strategy.

Acting as a key link to Mahindra’s international design arm, Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) in the UK, MIDS will focus on crafting globally appealing vehicles that retain a strong Indian identity.

Commenting on this initiative, Pratap Bose, Chief Design and Creative Officer, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “We are thrilled to inaugurate our future-ready Mahindra India Design Studio, bringing world-class design technologies and tools to create stunning design outcomes across our Auto and Farm businesses. The new studio will attract the best design talent from India and become a leading automotive design centre in India. The influence of MIDS on our products will be felt for many years to come.”

With this move, Mahindra reinforces its commitment to design-led product development, positioning MIDS as a cornerstone for future innovations across its diverse automotive and mobility verticals.
