- Maruti Suzuki will offer the eVitara in three variants: Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The base-spec Delta variant will get a smaller 48.8kWh unit, while the rest two variants will be offered the larger 61.1kWh unit.
- All the variants will support 70kW DC fast charging and 7kW AC charging.
- Both battery pack variants will come mated to a front axle-mounted motor, producing a maximum output of 143PS/192.5Nm with the smaller battery pack, and 173PS/192.5Nm of power output with the larger unit.

When it comes to features, the eVitara will pack a host of premium amenities, marking a first for any Maruti Suzuki car, such as twin-connected displays, 2-spoke steering unit, a fixed-type single-pane glass roof, a 10-way adjustable driver’s seat, a slide-and-recline function for the second-row seats, seven airbags, etc. The other notable highlights include wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, wireless charger, ambient lighting, adjustable headrests for all seats, multiple driving modes, electronic parking brakes with auto-hold, hill hold assist, traction control, a 360-degree camera and Level-2 ADAS suite.
Speaking of the dimensions, the eVitara measures 4275mm long, 1800mm wide and 1635mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2700mm and a minimum ground clearance of 180mm. It has been based on the all-new born EV skateboard platform dubbed “eHeartect”.
We expect Maruti to price the eVitara between Rs 16 lakh and Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, and Mahindra BE 6.
