The duo of Volkswagen and Skoda has experienced significant success with its India 2.0 products, and for 2024, the brands are relying on some imported products to further spice their Indian portfolios. Here’s a look at all the upcoming cars from Skoda and Volkswagen in India in 2024:-
Skoda Superb
Skoda is expected to reintroduce the Superb sedan in early 2024. Unlike the previously offered version, which was locally assembled, the 2024 Superb will be brought via the CBU route. In fact, some Skoda dealers have already started accepting its bookings.
Reports suggest that it will offered only in the top-spec L&K variant with some new features, including ADAS technology, which should incorporate features like forward collision avoidance, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and dynamic headlight range control. It is likely to be offered with a 190PS BS6.2-compliant 2-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission.

Skoda Enyaq iV
The Enyaq iV will be Skoda’s first all-electric offering in India. It is expected to be offered in limited numbers.
Based on the spy shots, the Skoda Enyaq iV SUV is presumably to be available in a sole top-spec ‘80x’ variant, which comes equipped with a 77kWh li-ion battery pack, powering a 265PS dual-motor setup that provides it with all-wheel-drive compatibility. It is claimed to accelerate from 0-100 kmph sprint in just 6.9 seconds and offers a healthy drive range of 460 km on a single charge. Expect the carmaker to price it from around Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom).

Volkswagen ID.4
Volkswagen is likely to bring the ID.4 electric crossover to the Indian shores this year. Sharing its underpinnings with the Skoda Enyaq iV, the ID.4 is expected to be launched in its GTX variant that uses an all-wheel-drive system (AWD), producing a combined power output of 300PS and an impressive torque output of 460Nm. That’s not all; its 77kWh battery pack promises a range of up to 480 kilometres, making it the talk of the town for its blend of style, power and eco-friendliness.
New-Gen Skoda Kodiaq
The second-generation Skoda Kodiaq was globally revealed in October this year. Based on the VW Group’s new MQB-EVO platform, the new Kodiaq incorporates styling elements from the “Modern Solid” philosophy, providing it with a more rugged look. Also, it is 61mm longer than its predecessor and claims more cabin space inside the cabin.
Globally, the new Kodiaq comes with 2-litre petrol and diesel engines as well as a plug-in hybrid 1.5-litre petrol unit. Its diesel engine also offers the optional 4×4 drive system. It is yet to be seen what powertrain options its India-spec model will receive.
Expect Skoda to launch the new Kodiaq by the end of 2024.
