Honda To Launch A New Neo-Retro Bike Based On CB350 H’Ness

Honda BigWing has provided a sneak peek of its upcoming premium motorcycle, which is expected to be based on the H’Ness 350. The teaser mentions the term “BABT”, whose meaning remains unclear at the moment. However, it could be related to the bike’s name.

Based on the teaser, the upcoming Honda bike appears to be a neo-retro-styled cruiser, sharing certain elements with the H”Ness CB350, including the alloy wheels, split seat, pillion grab rail, switchgear and upright handlebar. Nevertheless, the front fender seems slightly different. We also expect the upcoming Honda bike to feature a distinct fuel tank design and side body panels, providing the bike with a distinct identity.

Anticipate the upcoming Honda CB350 BABT to share its underpinnings with the H’Ness that comprises the half-duplex cradle frame, a telescopic front fork with gaiters, and twin rear shock absorbers.

Powering the forthcoming Honda will be a 348.36cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder petrol mill (21.07PS/30Nm), paired with a 5-speed gearbox with slip-&-assist clutch.

Regarding features, the bike is likely to come with all-LED lighting, traction control, dual-channel ABS, and a semi-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, a Honda Smartphone Voice Control system (HSVCS), and turn-by-turn navigation.

Expect Honda to price the CB350 from around Rs 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will go up against the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and standard Jawa.
