2023 Honda XL750 Transalp Adventure Motorcycle Launched In India

With the onset of the Festive season, Honda’s 2-wheeler portfolio witnessed a wave of updated models and festive editions. We recently received the updated CB300X and CB200X, along with special edition models of H’Ness CB350, CB350RS, Activa, Dio 125, Horner 2.0 and SP125. And now, the 2023 Honda XL750 Transalp has also been launched in India at Rs 10,99,990 lakh (ex-showroom).

Offered as an completely built-up (CBU) unit, the XL750 Transalp will be sold via Honda’s premium BigWing dealerships.

What Powers The 2023 Honda XL750 Transalp?

Powering the XL750 Transalp is Honda’s all-new 775cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder engine, pumping out a maximum power output of 91.77PS, along with a peak twist of 75Nm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip & assist clutch.

Honda claims that it can return a fuel efficiency of roughly 23 kmpl.

Honda underpins the all-new XL750 on a steel diamond frame, suspended on a 43mm Showa USD fork upfront with 200mm travel and a monoshock at the rear with 190mm travel.

For anchoring duties, the bike combines a 310mm dual disc setup at the front with 2-piston callipers and a single 256mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS as standard. The other notable inclusions are: –

  • 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup
  • An all-LED lighting system
  • A 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with Honda Smartphone Voice Control System (HSVCs)
  • Five riding modes: Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel and User
  • Switchable ABS
  • Optional 12V socket
  • C-type USB charger
  • Self-cancelling indicators
  • Emergency stop signal

Dimensionally, it has a length of 2325mm, a width of 838mm, and a height of 1450mm, along with a wheelbase of 1,560mm and a ground clearance of 210mm. Its seat height stands at 850mm, and it can hold up to 16.9 litres of fuel.

Honda offers the Indian-spec XL750 Transalp in two body shades: Ross White and Matte Ballistic Black.

Rivals

In the Indian market, the 2023 Honda XL750 Transalp will face competition from the slightly affordable Suzuki V-Strom 650XT (Rs 8.85 lakh) and Kawasaki Versys 650 (Rs 7.77 lakh)
