Mahindra Bolero Neo+ Launched, But Not For Personal Use

After tons of spy shots and speculations, the Mahindra Bolero Neo+ (facelifted TUV300 Plus) has finally been launched in India, but in an Ambulance avatar. It has been priced at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). However, for government use, it has been priced at Rs 12.31 lakh (ex-showroom) on the Government e-marketplace.

Design and Dimensions

  • The Bolero Neo+ is essentially an elongated version of the Bolero Neo, measuring 4,400 mm length. That makes it roughly 405 mm longer than its smaller counterpart.
  • Styling-wise, it looks similar to its regular version. However, being an Ambulance version, it features ambulance-specific red and yellow graphics all around, along with an emergency flashing lights (beacon lamp) mounted on the roof.

Medical Equipment Onboard

Mahindra Bolero Neo+ Ambulance inside
  • Since this version of the Mahindra Bolero Neo+ is a Type-B ambulance, it only gets basic life support (BLS) equipment.
  • Inside, its second and third-row seats have been removed to accommodate the stretcher, along with a ramp for easy movement of the stretcher.
  • There’s also a side-facing seat for attendees with underseat storage, a washbasin assembly with oxygen cylinder stand, a cabinet for storing medical equipment, hook hangers for intra-venous bottles, dustbin, a first aid kit, and a fire extinguisher.
  • The Bolero Neo+ Ambulance also gets a public announcement system.

More Powerful Engine

Mahindra has provided the new Bolero Neo+ with a 2.2-litre duesel engine instead of Bolero Neo’s 1.5-litre diesel mill.

This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox in a rear-wheel-drive configuration and generates 120PS of max power and 280Nm of peak torque.

Expect Passenger Version To Launch Soon

We anticipate the passenger version of the Bolero Neo+ to launch soon, with prices likely to start at around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
