Hyundai Exter vs Tata Punch Engine Specifications and Mileage
  • Both the Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch come with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine; however, the Korean SUV has a more sophisticated 4-cylinder unit which we have already seen in the Grand i10 Nios and Aura. This engine is known for its reliability and butter-smooth operations. On the other hand, the Punch’s 3-cylinder unit has NVH issues.
  • Both the SUVs get manual and AMT transmission choices.
  • The Exter CNG offers an impressive fuel efficiency of 27.1 km/kg, while the Punch CNG claims 26.99 km/kg.
  • Unlike Exter which gets a huge single CNG tank in the boot, the Punch CNG benefits from the carmaker’s twin-cylinder technology that provides useable luggage space.
