Honda Unicorn Updated To New Emission Norms; Price Increased

Honda 2-wheelers India has updated the Unicorn 160cc commuter motorcycle on the new BS6 phase 2 emission norms. With this, its price has been increased by Rs 4,082. It is now priced at Rs 1,09,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

  • Powering the Honda Unicorn is a 162.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled mill, which now comes equipped with an OBD-2 port that diagnoses the vehicleโ€™s emissions performance.
  • Mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, it makes 12.9hp at 7,500rpm and 14Nm at 5,500rpm.
  • Honda offers the Unicorn in colour options โ€“ Imperial Red Metallic, Mat Axis Grey Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black.
  • The Unicorn is based on a diamond-type frame, suspended on 18-inch alloy wheels, a telescopic fork and a monoshock. 
  • For braking, it gets a 240mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum, assisted by a single-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS). 
  • Tipping the scale at 140kg, this Japanese motorcycle has a seat height that stands at 715mm and a fuel take capacity of 13 litres.

New Warranty Program

  • Honda has also introduced a new warranty program of up to 10 years, comprising a standard warranty of 3 years and an optional 7-year extended coverage.
