Tata Altroz To Get A New XM+ (S) Variant With Three Engine Options

The upcoming launch of the CNG-powered Tata Altroz will also mark the introduction of a new variant called XM+ (S). Positioned between the XM+ and XT variants, it will be available with three powertrain options: 1.2-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol-CNG. The turbo-petrol engine wonโ€™t be on offer with this new trim.

Tata Altroz XM+ (S) โ€“ Whatโ€™s New?

Positioning above the XM+ variant, the new XM+ (S) trim will get a host of additional features over the former. This will include: โ€“

  • A single-pane electric sunroof with voice assist
  • Sharkfin antenna
  • A digital instrument cluster (CNG only)
  • Premium knitted roof liner
  • Front rain-sensing wipers

Expect this new trim to command a significant price premium over the XM+ variant, which is currently priced between Rs 7.55 lakh and Rs 8.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bookings are open

  • Bookings for the Tata Altroz CNG variant are already open, so if youโ€™re considering purchasing one, you can proceed with your booking at a token amount of Rs 21,000.
  • The eco-friendly variant of the Tata Altroz will utilize the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. However, when fueled with natural gas, the engine will produce a slightly reduced power output of 77PS/97Nm, as opposed to the petrol-only variantโ€™s output of 86PS/113Nm.
