Soon after launching the Baleno and XL6 CNG, Maruti Suzuki has now finally introduced the greener fuel option for the new-gen Alto K10. Only its mid-spec VXI variant will be available with the factory-fitted CNG kit.

Engine, Gearbox and Mileage
Maruti Suzuki has equipped the greener Alto K10 with the same 1-litre DualJet petrol engine as the regular model that makes 57PS/82Nm in CNG mode and 66.62PS/89Nm when running on petrol. It comes only with a 5-speed manual gearbox and claims a fuel efficiency of 33.85km/kg.

Key Features
Since the Alto K10 CNG is based on the VXI variant, it gets all the features of its petrol-only counterpart, such as steel wheels with full-size covers, body-coloured door handle, front power windows, front power socket, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, speed sensing auto-door lock, impact sensing door unlock, dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, and much more.

Tweaked Suspensions
With the added weight of the CNG kit, Maruti Suzuki has also retuned the suspension setup of the Alto K10 to improve its handling and ride quality.
