While the brand hasn’t specified, we expect the first electric car from Maruti Suzuki will be an electric SUV that is likely to be based on the Futuro-e concept that was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. It’s likely to be priced under Rs 20 lakh and will go up against the Tata Nexon EV and the upcoming Mahindra XUV300 electric. In fact, MG and Hyundai Motors are also developing affordable mass-market electric cars.
