Kia Seltos X-Line Launched At Rs 17.79 Lakh

Kia has finally launched the Seltos X-Line Edition in India as a new range-topping trim that is priced at Rs 17.79 lakh for the turbo-DCT and Rs 18.10 lakh for the diesel-automatic version (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi). At this price point, it is up to Rs 45,000 more expensive than the GTX Plus variant.

Compared to the regular GTX+ trim of the Kia Seltos, its new X-Line edition comes with a host of cosmetical changes. For starters, the new Seltos X-Line comes finished in an exclusive Matte Graphite paint scheme. This is the first time in India when a mass-market car is being offered with a matte paint scheme from the factory. It also gets upsized 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with matte treatment. Additionally, several body parts of the X-Line come finished in piano black. These include the front & rear skid plates, ORVMs, tailgate garnish, shark-fin antenna, and faux exhaust on the rear bumper. Further, there are also orange highlights on the bumpers, door garnish, and wheels for a bit of contrast appeal.

Inside, except for the Indigo Pera leatherette seats with honeycomb pattern & grey stitching, and matching door panel trim, the cabin remains identical to the regular GTX Plus variant.

In terms of features, there is no exclusive addition. That said, it gets all the features of the GTX+ variant that majorly includes a 10.25-inch infotainment system, Apple Carplay, and Android Auto, UVO connected car technology with remote functionality and smartwatch connectivity, a single-pane sunroof, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, powered driver's seat, a 7-inch multi-information display, wireless charging, in-built air purifier, auto climate control, rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, a heads-up display (HUD), cruise control, smart key remote-engine start, paddle shifters, etc.

Safety is covered by six airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, tire pressure monitoring system, blind-spot monitoring, vehicle stability management (VSM), electronic stability control (ESC), hill assist control (HAC), and parking sensors with 360-degree surround-view camera.

The Kia Seltos continues to go up against the Hyundai Creta, MG Hector Skoda Kushaq, and the upcoming VW Taigun and 5-seater Mahindra XUV700
