Second Lot Of Suzuki Hayabusa Sold Out In Just One Hour

Suzuki Motorcycle had started online bookings for the second batch of the new Hayabusa superbike on July 1. And as anticipated, the ‘Peregrine Falcon’ quickly sold out within one hour, thus breaking its own record for the first lot to be sold within 24 hours. Barring a negligible difference of 1 unit, the second lot also consisted of 100 units as before. Expect deliveries of the motorcycles to commence in the coming weeks. However, Suzuki will not offer the complementary pillion cowl this time.

The third-generation Suzuki Hayabusa has been much loved in India thanks to its value-for-money quotient and a huge fanbase. It costs Rs 16.40 lakh (ex-showroom), just around Rs 2.35 lakh more than the previous-gen Hayabusa. For this price premium, it gets a refreshed and more aerodynamic design and a host of new electronic and riding aids like a TFT display for the instrumentation cluster, three-level engine brake control, a six-axis IMU, lean-sensitive traction control with 10-levels, 10-level wheelie control, bi-directional quickshifter, and Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) with 3 riding modes and 3 user-defined modes.

Powering the 2021 Busa is the same 1,340cc, four-stroke, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, DOHC, inline four-cylinder engine as its predecessor that is tuned to deliver a punchier and more tractable output of 190PS at 9,700rpm and 150Nm at 7,000rpm.
