Hero Splendor Continues Its Reign As Most Selling Two-Wheeler Of The Country

The entry-level commuter motorcycle and scooter segments continue to enjoy an exceptional amount of popularity in India, and Hero Splendor has once again become the most preferred choice of the nation in April 2021, whereas, in the scooter segment, the Honda Activa retains its top place in the table. However, compared to March 2021, their sales figures have declined in April due to the second wave of the ongoing pandemic. Here’s take a look at the top 10 most selling two-wheelers of the country and how each fared against the March 2021 figures: –

  • All the two-wheelers on the list have registered negative growth in April 2021 except for the Suzuki Access 125 which enjoyed a growth of nearly 10% in its month-on-month (MoM) figures. 

  • The Hero Splendor continues its reign atop the monthly sales charts in April despite a 31% decline in sales compared to March 2021. 

  • Honda Activa is still the second most popular offering in the two-wheeler division, and first in the scooter category. However, its monthly sales figures also dropped by 45 percent this April. 

  • Climbing up a spot, the Honda CB Shine has beaten the HF Deluxe by around 8,000 units and achieved the third spot on the list.

  • In the commuter motorcycle segment, the HF Deluxe has registered the highest decline in MoM figures. 

  •  With 66,586 units sold, the Bajaj Pulsar remained in the fifth position. 

  • The Bajaj's Platina has slipped a spot below for April. 

  • TVS Jupiter has witnessed the highest decline on the list, selling only 25,570 units last month. 

  • At 19,959 units, the TVS NTorq 125 also observed a notable decline of 25%. 

  • The Hero Pleasure Plus occupied the bottom spot as the brand sold less than 20k units of it in April.
