Mahindra Marazzo Automatic Launch Soon

Back in February 2021, we have reported the possibility of Mahindra Marazzo AMT's launch. Now, the officials from the homegrown automaker have confirmed the news. This comes in after multiple reports claiming the discontinuation of the Marazzo following its low demand in the market.

The Marazzo MPV is expected to get the same 6-speed Autoshift (AMT) transmission that also comes with the XUV300. For the people not in know, both these Mahindra utility vehicles are powered by a 1.5-liter diesel engine, rated at 122PS (100PS in ‘Eco’ mode) and 300Nm. However, the XUV300 also gets a 1.2-liter MPFI turbo-petrol engine, whereas the Marazzo is only available with the diesel engine. A 163PS 1.5-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine is likely to be offered with Marazzo at a later stage.

At present, the Mahindra Marazzo is available in three variants (M2, M4+, and M6+) and two seating configurations (7/8-seater). All these Marazzo variants will get the two-pedal convenience. With this, the brand could also offer some additional features, including BlueSense connected car technology. Besides, it will continue to retain most of the features from the existing model that majorly includes projector headlamps, alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control with roof-mounted rear AC vents, all-wheels disc brakes, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with a reverse parking camera, etc.

It is expected to be launched by the end of 2021. While it doesn't have any direct rival in the country, it will continue to enjoy its solitary between the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga (Rs 7.81 – 10.59 lakh) and Toyota Innova Crysta (Rs 16.52 – 24.59 lakh) in the Indian market.
