Now Control AC Of Your MG Hector With An Apple Smartwatch

After revising the prices of Hector and Hector Plus, MG motors has now introduced a new connectivity feature for the Hector SUV that enables you to remotely control car's AC via the Apple smartwatch. So, pre-cooling Hector’s cabin before stepping inside on a hot day is now more convenient. Earlier, this was only accessible via MG's mobile app.

For the people not in know, the MG Hector's vertically oriented 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes with an embedded 5G-ready SIM with 60+ iSmart connected car features including remote vehicle control, WIFI connectivity, online navigation with live updates, vehicle tracking, geofencing, OTA (Over the Air) software updates, engine start alarm, Gaana music streaming service, voice assistant with 35+ HINGLISH voice commands to operate various functions of the car, and many more.

Earlier this year, MG has also given a facelift update to the 5-seater Hector, which brought some cosmetic changes to the SUV along with a few feature additions that mainly includes an upsized dual-tone alloy wheels (18-inch), redesigned front grille, silver skid plates at both ends, a new dual-tone black-cream cabin theme, ventilated front seats, remote control via smartwatch, a wireless mobile charger, auto-dimming IRVM, and USB port on the passenger side.

Later in February 2021, the brand has also introduced new petrol-CVT variants in Hector's line-up. However, no changes have been made to its engine options. It continues to be available in three engine options: 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol (143PS/250Nm), 1.5-litre turbo-petrol with smart hybrid tech (143PS/250Nm), and a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel (170PS/350Nm). While all powertrain comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, the non-hybrid petrol engine also gets DCT and CVT transmission options.

Currently, the MG Hector is priced between Rs 13.18 lakh and Rs 18.86 lakh (ex-showroom) and rivals the likes of Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, and higher-spec variants of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos
