Renault Launched R.E.Li.V.E Vehicle Scrapping Solution With Mahindra CERO

After Mahindra, the French carmaker Renault has also launched the vehicle scrapping solution at its dealership level in collaboration with CERO Recycling (a joint venture of Mahindra Intertrade and MSTC) called the R.E.L.I.V.E program. This service will provide customers a seamless & hassle-free channel to scrap their old vehicles, buy new Renault vehicles and also avail attractive benefits on their new purchase.

This program eliminates the need of visiting a local RTO or a vehicle scrapping agency. Instead, buyers can bring their old/end-of-life vehicles of any brand to Renault’s authorized dealerships for scrapping, and Renault will provide you its valuation quote and scrapping services along with some additional benefits over the existing monthly offers on the purchase of a new Renault product. The entire process is as follows: –

  • Renault will arrange a valuation of your old/end-of-life vehicle to provide scrapping/exchange value.

  • After evaluation, the vehicle will be sent for environment-friendly dismantling at CERO scrapyards.

  • Post this, the Certificate of Deposit/Destruction (COD) will be issued by CERO, which will enable customers to claim eligible benefits under the upcoming Scrappage Policy. Renault India dealerships along with CERO Recycling will also be responsible for de-registering the vehicle at the RTO.

Currently, this program is available in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Chennai. Interestingly, Renault will also provide this service to the customers who wish to scrape their old two-wheeler and want to buy a new Renault car. Such customers will be eligible for a special interest rate of 7.99% from Renault Finance services.

Speaking about the new scrappage policy and partnership, Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO & Managing Director, Renault India Operations said –

The scrappage policy is a very important step towards the right direction in making India a hub of manufacturing and elevate the Indian auto industry a notch up in terms of better technology adoption, safer and cleaner vehicles. The scrappage policy will help in significantly reducing the pollution levels and streamlining the unorganised & fragmented recycle market in the country.

We are extremely confident that this partnership will ensure hassle-free experience for the customers and adoption of better technology and promote safety on the Indian roads in a scientific and Confidential C Press Release environment-friendly manner. With its eco-friendly practices, CERO will help reduce carbon footprint, making a zero-waste, zero pollution ecosystem, while Renault will offer attractive & exclusive guaranteed benefits on new vehicle purchase.
