The hotly contested sub-4-meter SUV segment once again maintained its tremendous sales figures, accounting for a total of more than 57,000 unit sales in March 2021. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza continues to be the topper of the class, followed by Hyundai Venue. The newly entrant of the segment, i.e. the Renault Kiger has also done quite well, surpassing Brezza's Toyota counterpart and other SUVs by a huge margin. Despite a decline in month-on-month (MoM) sales, Maruti Vitara Brezza once again becomes the most popular sub-4m SUV in the country.
Hyundai’s subcompact SUV continues to remain on the second spot on the list with a nearly 5% drop in MoM figures.
With a 9.5% growth in monthly sales, Tata’s Nexon surpassed the Kia Sonet and remained in the 3rd position on the list.
The Kia Sonet witnessed an MoM jump of approximately 6% percent, despite it slipped a step down in March 2021 sales chart.
Ford EcoSport registered the highest sales improvement in the segment, followed by Toyota's Urban Cruiser.

The recently launched Renault Kiger has also performed quite well with over 3,800 unit sales. However, it seems like the charisma of Nissan Magnite has started fading with the launch of its French sibling.
Mahindra XUV300 witnessed the highest negative growth in the segment.
