Hyundai Staria 7-Seater MPV Teased

Hyundai Motors has released the first set of teaser images of its upcoming MPV, the Staria. It will make its global debut in the coming months and is likely to be sold in selected markets. While there is no official word on its India launch, the Korean carmaker has already trademarked the Staria name in our country back in mid-2020. The upcoming Staria MPV might be the new-generation version of Hyundai Starex, which is available for sale in several Asian countries. It is likely to come in two broad categories: Standard and Premium.

Going by the teaser images, the Hyundai Staria will feature a large rectangular chrome mesh grille with integrated LED headlamps. It will also get a strip of LED daytime running lamps running across the width of the car. Hyundai claims that its design is inspired by a spaceship so it looks slightly futuristic.

The silhouette of the car gives it a proper MPV appearance. The production-spec Staria is likely to feature sliding doors and dual-tone alloy wheels. The windows sections are also appearing quite bigger, which will give the MPV an airy feel inside.

At the rear, the Staria will get vertically stacked large LED tail lamps complementing the overall profile.

The interior image confirms that the new Staria's cabin will be based on a minimalist theme. It will feature a dual-tone dashboard with faux Audi-Esque AC vents that run through the dash and a large touchscreen infotainment system taking the center stage.

Will Hyundai Staria make its way to India?

As mentioned above, there are no official words regarding this. But because Hyundai has already trademarked this nomenclature in India, the MPV could be evaluated for our market.
