New Mahindra Thar Prices Increased

The all-new Mahindra Thar has finally received its first-ever price hike since its launch on 2nd October 2020. The petrol version of Thar off-roader now starts from Rs 12.10 lakh, while the diesel variant begins from Rs 12.30lakh (ex-showroom). Let's take a look at the variant-wise revised prices: –

The prices of 2021 Mahindra Thar has been increased by up to Rs 40,000.

It is important to note that these new prices will also be applicable for bookings that have been made between 1st December 2020 to 7th January 2021, whereas the buyers who have booked the SUV in or before November 2020, will have to pay the launch / old prices. Those who book the Thar from 8th January 2021 onwards, will be required to pay the final price applicable at the time of the delivery, which means there could another price hike for the Thar in near future.

At present the second-generation Mahindra Thar is in huge demand with a waiting period stretching up to 9 months, depending on the variant & roof type. The reason for the huge demand is may be due to its monopoly in the Indian market, as it has no direct rival, but it will soon get a fight from the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny and BS6 Force Gurkha.
