Competition

The VW Polo locks horns with Toyota Glanza, Maruti Baleno, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz, and Hyundai Elite i20. Here, the Polo is the only car that offers a torque converter automatic gearbox whereas Baleno, Glanza, and Jazz get the CVT option while i20 is only available in manual variants nowadays.

The Vento competes with the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Toyota Yaris, and Skoda Rapid in which the Verna is the only car that offers three different kinds of an automatic gearbox, including CVT with 1.5-litre NA petrol, AT with 1.5-litre diesel unit, and DCT with 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. The Honda City and Toyota Yaris, on the other hand, offer CVT in the form of an automatic gearbox option. The Ciaz comes with torque converter choice while Rapid only offers a manual gearbox as a standard unit.
